As we began our drive from Croatia to Slovenia, Katka announced that today was a special day for the Czech people. 

A piece of history will be opened on September 19, 2025. In a live broadcast of Czech Radio Radiožurnál, a mysterious envelope containing the last words of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk will be unsealed in Lány.

The National Archives received the rare envelope in 2005 from Antonín Sum, who was one of the personal secretaries of Foreign Minister Jan Masaryk.

The last words of the President of the Liberator moved several times. The envelope traveled, for example, to England and Scotland or to France. After the Velvet Revolution, the extensive Masaryk archive gradually began to return to the Czech Republic.
